A BRIEF SNAPSHOT
I currently work as the Director of Undergraduate Field Education and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at Gallaudet University. I have over 20 years of experience including school social work, telemental health, community-based mental health, and social work education. I also serve as a member-at-large on the board of the American Deafness and Rehabilitation Association (ADARA).
My professional interests focus on strengthening professional ethics in social work practice; enhancing equitable and accessible licensing practices and training in mental health for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) individuals; advocating for quality mental health service for DeafBlind individuals; providing consultation and training in mindfulness and professional self-care; and clinical supervision.
